I think most British colonies at some point spent some effort/money on promoting immigration of British or Irish single women, to address the gender imbalance/be servants. I am descended from at least one such woman and possibly more.
This is a weird thread - Western Europe/US in their expansionary phase had a very muscular Christianity and the idea that their Christianity was somehow founded by a "middle east jewish pacifist" in any way held them back is for the birds. There's no incentive for them to really lean into this

I grew up using the jungle carbine, as dad had purchased one for hunting purposes at some point. He thinks it was never used in anger though. Brother hass used it a bit in recent years for hunting but now has moved on to something more modern/lighter.
NZ has a Westminster system and has been running a form of PR since 96 (3 year cycle) and sort of has retained the two Big Parties but at the same time growing around 4 smaller parties that rarely look like they'll supplant the big 2 so they act as support parties in electoral coalitions.
Interesting result for the Liberals - I get the feeling a lot of people with ambition were heading to Labour or the Conservatives from the mid 20s on, so the idea of the Liberals trebling their seats whilst the Cons halve theirs probably helps the Libs seem quite dynamic again
