Another [adult swim] Infobox
TheAndyMilonakisShowInfobox.png

Context:

ITTL, instead of turning the American version of The Box/Video Jukebox Network into MTV2, The Box merges with MTV itself, so MTV2 doesn't exist and many of it's programs instead air on other networks,

The Andy Milonakis Show, which aired on MTV2 IOTL, would instead air on [adult swim], lasting 5 seasons from 2005 to 2009, and an quarter-hour animated spin-off The Lower East Side Dysfunctional Monster Gang Squad Family Cartoon Show would air 3 seasons from 2010 to 2012

According to IMDB:

"MTV was one of the few networks to pick-up Awesome Show. Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim declined, due to MTV's decision to take the show in a pop culture-oriented route."

I don't see this information anywhere else, so it might not be true, but what if Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! and it's spin-off Check it Out! with Dr. Steve Brule did air on MTV?

The Ren & Stimpy Show (also known as Ren & Stimpy) is an American-Canadian animated comedy television series created by Canadian animation director and Entente-Commonwealth war veteran John Krickfalusi. The series follows a bisexual cat-and-dog duo, consisting of Ren - an ill-tempered and egotistical chihuahua dog, and Stimpy - a clumsy, dimwitted yet kind-hearted manx cat - in their various misadventures and comical struggles in surreal situations. While the show is well known for its gross out and slapstick humor, it also makes light of darker subjects - such as war, capitalism, discrimination, and imperialism - and satirically comments on Western culture, pop culture, consumerism, and the human condition.

Krickfalusi originally created the characters of Ren and Stimpy around the early 1970s. The series was heavily inspired by the works of cartoonists Bob Clampett and Tex Avery, as well as Krickfalusi’s own military service in Greece and East Africa during that time. Following his release from psychiatric care in 1981, Krickfalusi would be dissatisfied with the state of animation made by the studios of the 80s, and started to make a show based off the characters he made. He originally pitched the show as Our Gang, in which Ren & Stimpy were the pets of a gang of kids that were a parody of The Little Rascals. The executives at Warner Bros. and Nickelodeon however, thought the show worked better with the two characters alone rather than with a group.

Ren & Stimpy premiered on August 11, 1991 on Nickelodeon - alongside five other cartoons collectively called "Nicktoons”: Doug, Rugrats, Tasmania, Tiny Toon Adventures, and Big Beast Quintet. Since then, 364 episodes have been broadcast, making it the longest-running American animated series as of September 2022, and the third-longest-running animated series internationally - behind Nu, pogodi! and 3000 Whys of Blue Cat. A feature-length film, Ren & Stimpy Go To Hollywood, was released to theaters on June 21, 1996, grossed over $500 million, and spawned two sequels: Ren & Stimpy Go 2 Space (2012) and Ren & Stimpy: Dog Pound Blues (2020). The series has spawned multiple comic book series, video games, and books, on top of a $12 billion merchandising industry. The show is co-produced between Spümcø and Warner Bros. Animation, with animation outsourced to Carbunkle Cartoons and Roach Films Alyaska. On January 6, 2021, the series was renewed through 2026, with three of the five seasons having 12 episodes each, and the other two having 10 episodes each - increasing the episode count to 476 episodes. The thirtieth season premiered on August 15, 2021, and ended on April 19, 2022. The thirty-first season premiered on September 17, 2022. Additionally, two spin-off series, Mr. Horse's Very Own Show and Pinky and the Brain, premiered on Sears Orion Video in 2022.

The Ren & Stimpy Show received widespread critical acclaim during its "golden age" - which is considered by fans to start with the series' premiere and end with Krickfalusi's departure from the show in 1997. Since then, the show has been criticized for its perceived dumbing down of writing and overall decline in quality. Time named it the 20th century's third-best television series, while in a 2003 BBC poll, the show was ranked at the top of The 100 Greatest Cartoons. The show has won countless awards since its debut, including 24 Emmy Awards, 18 Annie Awards, and 4 BAFTA Children's Awards. The Ren & Stimpy Show has been widely described as one of the greatest and most influential animated series ever made. In 2019, The Ren & Stimpy Show became one of the first 20 television series selected for preservation by the United States Library of Congress for the National Broadcasting Registry.

SpongeBob Squarepants (or simply SpongeBob) is an American animated comedy television series created by marine science educator and animator Stephen Hillenburg for Nickelodeon. The show follows the adventures of the eponymous character and aquatic friends in the fictional underwater city of Bermuda Bottom. Produced by United Plankton Pictures for Nickelodeon, the show aired for 4 seasons for a total of 79 episodes from May 1, 1999 to February 25, 2005.

The early idea for SpongeBob came in 1989 with The Intertidal Zone - an unpublished educational comic book Hillenburg created to teach his students about marine life. Later on, Hillenburg would be hired to work on the long-running Nickelodeon cartoon - The Ren & Stimpy Show - where he would serve as one of the main writers and storyboard artists during its “golden age”. Using his experience on the show, Hillenburg would pitch his own show to Nickelodeon in 1996. The show’s pilot episode would be completed in November 1997 and was greenlit by Nickelodeon for initially one 22-episode season. The show premiered on May 1, 1999, following the 1999 Kids’ Choice Awards. The show would receive critical acclaim, with may critics favorably comparing the show to Ren & Stimpy, in that both shows have shock value, adult jokes, and dark humor that hive each show an appeal to kids and adults alike. However, the show had a tumultuous production, with issues including low quality animation imported from Japanese anime studio Gainax, a toxic work environment at United Plankton, late delivery of episodes to the network, and Hillenburg’s increasingly controversial and inappropriate direction of the series. All of which would culminate in Hillenburg being fired by Nickelodeon in 2002, due to a banned episode in which the character of Squidward is violently and graphically tortured by Spongebob and Patrick. Following this, Nickelodeon would push for the show to be significantly toned down. In doing so, fans and critics alike accused the show of “jumping the shark” - this would cause ratings to drop significantly throughout the third and fourth seasons of the show. The show would be quietly cancelled by Nick in 2005, with the last episodes being aired on Nick’s sister channel, Nicktoons. Nevertheless, the show retains a cult following and is widely considered to have a lasting impact on television animation.

In 2008, an adult animated revival - SpongeBob XXX - was produced by Hillenburg and United Plankton for The Movie Channel. Six episodes were produced and more were planned, but only three episodes aired before being cancelled due to receiving universally negative reviews and advertisers pulling ad-revenue for the show, causing the remaining episodes to be released straight to UVD. After another cancelled revival as a film adaptation by Warner Bros. in 2016, a new revival series was announced for Netflix in August 2021, but without the involvement of Hillenburg due to his arrest for possession of child pornography in 2018, followed by a series of sexual assault allegations dating back to the early 1990s.

SpongeBob XXX is an adult animated television series created by Stephen Hillenburg for the premium television channel The Movie Channel. Unlike its predecessor, SpongeBob XXX is aimed exclusively at mature audiences. The show is dramatically more cruder and obscene than its family-friendly counterpart, as its subject matter ranges from drug abuse and sexual assault to mental illness and suicide. The show aired between January 20, 2008 until February 3, 2008, when it was abruptly cancelled after 3 episodes had aired, leaving the remaining 3 episodes completed in limbo until 2013, when the entire series was released on UVD and UVD-Plus. Reviews for SpongeBob XXX were extremely poor, and the show is widely regarded as one of the worst animated series of all time.

NOTE: This was the origins of my ongoing TL which I recommend you check out called Man's Best Friend: An Alternate 1990s and Beyond.

Also sorry I have the keys locked in Bold for some reason.
Even though I like these infoboxes, I'm honestly very conflicted about the scenario here.

For Ren & Stimpy: On one hand, John K. isn't a pedophiliac scumbag and is able to remain with the show longer. On the other hand, after John K. leaves the show, it starts a downward slope and is probably going to end up like The Simpsons where it's basically a zombie going on forever.

As for SpongeBob: On one hand, the show ends earlier even though the third and fourth seasons in this timeline weren't as good as the first two due to Stephen Hillenburg being fired. On the other hand, Stephen Hillenburg ends up taking John K's. place of being a pedo and a jerk which that ruins his reputation. Not to mention SpongeBob XXX being a major gross flop.

Great infoboxes!

Some questions I have about this scenario:
  1. When was the Second French Empire founded and is it still around?
  2. Are there any other monarchies in the Americas?
  3. What happened to Joseph, Prince Imperial?
  4. Why did Luis I and Joaquin abdicated?

Thanks!

To answer the questions:
1. For the Second French Empire is a bit still tentative, but for now its OTL Second French Empire under Napoleon III (I was thinking of making Napoleon II King of Italy through Duke of Parma and changing his birthplace later)
2. Obviously it would be Brazil, but for now I have no plans yet other than the two (If you count Canada, Alt. USA as Commonwealth as monarchies those count too)
3. Joseph, Prince Imperial died after the birth of Jose II after a horse accident during the exile of Empress Zenaide I
4. Luis I : Abdicated because of his incompetence and scandals during his reign (like OTL Carol of Romania & Edward VIII) plus his mishandling of the American Crisis and Rebellions in Central America forced the Prime Minister and the Royal Family members to force his abdication; Joaquin: Abdicated due to his want to retire to the countryside and depression following the death of his wife

How did the USA become a British Commonwealth?

What was the American Crisis like?

How did the USA become a British Commonwealth?
It became a commonwealth/dominion after the failed ARW
What was the American Crisis like?
The American Crisis was a serious of events that started when rebellions were sparked in New Mexico, Arizona, and Northern Mexico after an attempted assassination of a Texas President perpetrated by California and Deseret. Mexico intervened to prevent instability but were brutally defeated by the rebels and California (Maybe some changes would be implemented but for now thats the basic idea)
