The Days of the Five Emperors:
This Labor of Love comes from my unfashionable passion for all things Roman, their buildings, army and history as they have always fascinated me. I have used writing this novel as an excuse to indulge this obsession by writing a novel centered on Rome, Five of my favorite figures from history Marcus Aurelius, Vespasian, Titus and finally Augustus combined with my second love of Alternative History. My novel deals with how each of these men might deal with being removed from their own time and sent backwards to an Italy that does not resemble their old home while being in the same time and space as the other four. I have done this through the perspective of various historical figures and some of the Emperor’s themselves which along with my richly detailed scenes of Roman Life and the city itself will hopefully give you an idea of how much a Rome fanboy I really really am…
