What are some alternative leaders of the Iranian revolution?

People on this site frequently say that Islamic Fundamentalism wasn't the original aim or dominant ideology of the Iranian ideology.
Some suggest democratic republicanism, others suggest socialism and some others suggest Islamic socialism
However I am struggling to find NAMES of some of the leaders for these alternative ideologies. Tudeh was weak because of the Shah's earlier purges and Marxist-Leninism just wasn't gonna succeed because of incompatbility. Fabian socialism or some kind of compromise with the shah is a possibility. But please somebody give me some names names names :cool::cool:
(I would like to thank all answerers in advance)

So who else could have been Iranian supremo of the revolution if Khomeini was killed or removed or smth else

Note: If you are going to suggest hardline soviet style leaders or any other leader who will have high chances of causing a civil war or WW3 then please state that with a [DANGER] tag

You are interrogating as if it’s a SAVAK torture chamber bro
Ok name … Ali Shariati

Ali Shariati dying just two years before the revolution is an all-time POD. An anticolonial intellectual and Islamic Socialist, I actually have a pretty detailed outline for a TL where he lives just a few more years; there were longstanding rumors of poisoning. The butterflies are immense.

There are also a lot of other possible outcomes; Abdolhasan Bani Sadr could have remained in office as the actual leader of the country in a no-Khomeini TL. I'm also pretty interested in Hussein-Ali Montazeri as a more pro-social justice Ayatollah. Even the Islamic Republic and what it meant was a very contested thing.
