WI: Gustav Stresemann was assassinated in 1925?

So apparently I learned that German nationalists in October 1925 were planning to assassinate Gustav Stresemann rather than let him negotiate a treaty which they'd consider dishonorable to Germany. Luckily, Berlin police managed to detect the plot, and Stresemann and Hans Luther (Chancellor of Germany at the time) subsequently took the precaution of getting off the train at Bellinzona and driving the rest of the way to Locarno after nightfall, saving them from a possible assassination attempt.

What if the Berlin police hadn't detected the plot, and Stresemann subsequently got assassinated while he was on the train to Locarno? How would this have impacted the negotiation of the Locarno Treaties? What would the short-term and long-term consequences of this event be for Germany and the rest of the world?
